Rocky Mountain Folk School

Non-profit school of traditional arts and crafts, founded in 2021, running year-round workshops from its Pitkin Building on the town square and the Grand Spirit Makerspace on Park Avenue.

Rocky Mountain Folk School is a 501(c)(3) non-profit founded in 2021 that teaches traditional arts, crafts and practical skills in year-round workshops; it says it has offered more than 400 workshops to nearly 1,000 students, with a growing focus on leatherworking, silversmithing and woodworking. It works from two buildings: the Pitkin Building on the town square, at 315 Pitkin, and the Grand Spirit Makerspace at 1128 Park Ave, Unit A. Workshops need a signed waiver, and the school asks students to arrive 15 to 20 minutes early. Its mailing address is PO Box 545, Grand Lake, CO 80447.

Read on the school’s home, About, contact and visitor-guide pages on 10 October 2026. The Grand Lake Area Chamber of Commerce’s member page lists it with workshops dated through November 2026, and the home page reports its 2026 Columbine Lake Home Tour as finished. Its own pages call the street Pitkin Avenue (home page) and Pitkin Drive (contact page), and the chamber Pitkin Street, so the address here is 315 Pitkin. It has no phone and keeps no opening hours, teaching by registration for dated workshops. Under the owner’s rule of 10 October 2026, a listing may publish without a phone where the business or agency gives none.
